Jagger DE89l

I obviously have a serious case of RAD (razor acquisition disorder) that I acquired after I started to research how to make straight edge razors. I better be careful.... Here is a Edwin Jagger DE 89l that I picked up recently off the B/S/T forum on Badger & Blade.

1973 Lady Gillette

I had to pick up this Lady Gillette for my wife after she showed moderate interest in owning her own DE razor. I bought this from a woman who sells vintage and antique collectables on Etsy, the razor came from Canada. This razor has a date code of T1, which is the 1st quarter of 1973. The razor was barely used and took minimal cleaning to get it ready to use.

1960 Gillette "Fat Boy" Adjustable Safety Razor

I am posting a new companion to my other Gillette adjustable. This razor is known as the "Fat Boy" adjustable razor. The handle is heavier and a bit shorter than the Gillette Slim Adjustable. My razor was made in the first quarter of 1960 as indicated by its manufacture code F1. If you own a Gillette and want to pinpoint its date of manufacture, visit the ShaveWiki at Badger & Blade to get the posted US Gillette Dating Information.

Gillette Slim Adjustable Safety Razor

I have an affinity for shiny mechanical things, antiques and knives and this does it all. Well, its not quite an antique, but close. I picked this 1962 Gillette Slim up recently and really like the way it shaves. I am not much of a shaver until now...

Wosty Straight Razor

Here is a straight razor that I bought recently from an antique mall here in Milwaukee. My intention is to put it into service after I get it prepared with a proper edge. I have been able to find that it is made by George Wostenholm & Son of Sheffield, England.

Backpacking Knife

Here is a new knife I just completed yesterday. The knife is ground from 1/8" thick O-1 tool steel and is fitted with canvas Micarta scales an stainless tube pins. The knife measures 7" OAL. This is the first knife that I made using my new KMG grinder  from Beaumont Metal Works and also my first attempt at a flat grind.

EDC Pry Tool

I have been branching out a bit from the bottle openers when I have a chance and I made this 1/2" wide x 2 1/2" long key chain pry tool from O-1 tool steel. One end features a stout prying edge and the other end has one of the corners ground to be a standard screwdriver. This is a nice addition to the key ring to pry things, especially when you don't want to use your finger nails in -2 degree weather.

Western Camper Pocket Knife

I just picked this up recently and wanted to post it here. There aren't too many good pics on the internet of this particular knife, so I took a couple to post. This is a Camper pocket knife, that was made in Boulder, Colorado by Western Cutlery Company. Here is a 1975 Western Catalog I found online, it comes from the Collectors of Camillus. This catalog is hardly a catalog, but more of a book, very neat pictures of the factory and workers. Here is where you can find other Western catalogs.

New Bottle Opener

Here is a new bottle opener pry tool that I just made a prototype of a few days ago. It is made from precision ground O-1 tool steel and measures 1/2" wide x 2 1/2" long and its 1/8" thick.
